On-site met with owner. 20-year-old 2-ton condenser. Discovered a leak causing compressor failure. Conducted an acid test, which confirmed contamination. Installed a new compressor of the same model. Carried out an acid remover flush to clean the system. After the flush, the system was vacuumed to 400 microns for 35 minutes and refilled with 2.5 pounds of R22. Recommended to the homeowner to plan for a new condenser considering its age. Left the system running, with the thermostat indicating 71 degrees.

During our visit to a residence, we examined a 20-year-old 2-ton condenser unit. We identified a refrigerant leak as the culprit behind the compressor malfunction. To confirm, we conducted an acid test which showed signs of system contamination. To address this, we installed a new compressor identical to the original model. We also performed an acid remover flush to thoroughly clean the internal components. Following this, we vacuumed the system down to 400 microns for 35 minutes, ensuring any moisture and air were removed, and then recharged it with 2.5 pounds of R22 refrigerant. As a preventative measure, we advised the homeowner to consider replacing the condenser due to its advanced age. We left the system functioning efficiently, maintaining a comfortable indoor temperature of 71 degrees.technology to get your AC back up and running in no time.

Went back up after noticing screen on control on hood was off. At left end of hood. Rght side screen was flashing over load alarm. Looked up in ceiling control wires are every where. Went to look up part unit went back while I was in truck. Went back on roof found mixed air sensor to be heavily corroded. Unit would fire unti after couple resets. Problem seems to have existed before because ball valve is half closed. Recommend replacing mixed Air sensor the temp controller, fireeye control board. Control board is light some times then not others even when there is no alarm.
